Finding my voice through Purpose Lab
Through engaging with Purpose Lab, I have developed the ability to share my opinions and contribute them to people who will actually take them on board. The sessions are insightful and have given me the opportunity to learn more about companies that I am both familiar and unfamiliar with.
The sessions themselves are always engaging and informative. Each session engages with a focus of a different company, creating a strong sense of variety. Throughout the sessions, an environment is created where ideas are not only encouraged but also actively listened to. As a result of this it has led me to feel more empowered and excelled my confidence as a student.
Being given the opportunity to learn and gain a better understanding of how valuable input from external parties are to businesses. Through this it has encouraged me to critically think about the factors in what businesses need to adapt to in order to form a better society. One of the main aspects I enjoy about Purpose Lab is the diverse community that it brings to connect. The fact that they include all different kinds of people shows the recognition in which Purpose Lab has for the importance of inclusivity and different voices.
The diversity creates wider discussion, allowing me to consider different ideas from another perspective. Conversations are taken from just being surface level and unravelled to dive into more meaningful propositions.
Overall, my experience with PurposeLab has all round been positive. It has not only changed how I think but it has also helped me feel more confident to put forward my ideas both within session and university. It’s given me a different outlook on businesses and helped me take more of a critical stance upon analysis within my degree. I would definitely recommend Purpose Lab to any student if they are looking to build confidence or just want their ideas to be heard.
