MP of the Week: Dr Scott Arthur

Dr Scott Arthur is our MP of the week.

Scott Arthur lead the Rare Cancers Act 2026 through Parliament - a really important step forward for patients with cancers that have too often been overlooked. The Act received Royal Assent on 5 March 2026.

Rare cancers affect a significant number of people, but have historically received less attention and funding. The legislation is designed to boost research, improve access to clinical trials and strengthen support for treatment development for these types of cancers.
