MP of the Week: Nus Ghani

Our MP of the week this week is Nus Ghani!

In July, Nus visited the Heathfield Youth Hub in Sussex Weald - a community centre nearing completion thanks to a £4.9 million grant she helped secure. The hub is set to open this autumn and offers local young people vital spaces for learning skills, socialising, and accessing mental health and employment support.

Nus also welcomed a grant from Veolia that kickstarts Phase 2 of the Horam "Get Active Pathway" project, which includes new playgrounds, sports facilities, and outdoor spaces - all designed to boost access to healthy recreation in an area that struggles with transport and youth isolation.

And she led the launch of 24 new buses across Sussex routes, equipped with Wi‑Fi, charging ports, dementia‑friendly flooring, and accessibility seating - transforming daily mobility for residents in rural parts of her patch.
