The Purpose Coalition is the leading voice for purpose-led organisations. 

The most committed leaders who signed up to the Social Mobility Pledge are working with Rt Hon Justine Greening in the Purpose Coalition, setting a new standard for organisations delivering for their colleagues, customers and communities. 

Our work is all about bringing together the UK's most innovative leaders and businesses to improve, share best practice, and develop solutions for improving the role that organisations can play for their customer, colleagues and communities. 

Tools used by members of the Purpose Coalition include the Purpose Goals, Fit For Purpose, the Equality of Opportunity Coalition, Purpose Employer Status and Cost of Living Taskforce, amongst others. 

There are also dedicated sector specific coalitions where Purpose Coalition members have came together to drive change and take leadership in their sectors such as Business, Health, Local Authorities and Universities.

Members of the Purpose Coalition include Amazon, Leonardo, UK Power Networks, Rolls-Royce Submarines, bp, the Co-op Group, Sodexo, Pennon Group, Channel 4, The Adecco Group, Alten, the BBC, NHS Trusts, UK councils and UK universities amongst others.

The Purpose Coalition is chaired by the Rt Hon Justine Greening, the UK’s former Secretary of State for Education, Transport and International Development; and is supported by Rt Hon Anne Milton, former Minister for Apprenticeships and a Minister in the Department for Health and Social Care, Lord Walney, former Labour Member of Parliament for Barrow and Furness, and Nick Forbes CBE, former member of Keir Starmer’s Shadow Cabinet.
